To Forgive and Forget..
This verse - is made up of 3 very simple words - So simple that it has been badly abused in usage.
From a friend : 'Aiya, why take it so hard??? Just forgive and forget la!!'
From a teacher : ' Melvin has already apologised. Evon, we must learn to take things easy. Forgive and forget..'
From my dearest Mommy : 'Girl, dun be so angry. Mature up and just learn to forgive and forget.. move on to happiness..'
These 3 words have been so widely preached, so widely used, so.. taken for granted.
I questioned myself sometimes --- Those who have preached like they are saints - how many have successfully practised it?
Forgiving is easy, however bad a situation, as soon as one cools off, we forgive. But the most difficult part - is forgetting it. We are not born with ultra super sonic brain mass but hey, ironically when one gets hurt in an incident, the memories of the FEELINGS of being hurt, is there to stay.
Try asking an old woman about a bad incident that has happened 50 years old, they will say
'I can still remember clearly how ...... ' See?
The reason I am writing this is cause.. I can't practise what was preached. Maybe I am a petty piece of SH*T, maybe I have an ultra super sonic memory.. I really can't get any piece of crap case off my head.
When I bathe, I think. When I am alone, I recall. Before I sleep, I analyse.
!@#$%^&*!!!!! HOW COME IT IS NOT THE CASE WHEN IT COMES TO STUDIES??? I could have been a top student.
To those who practises forgive and forget - Cheers. I supposed you are either a member of the asylum or you are a goldfish in your past life. A goldfish is well known for an ultra short memory - 3 seconds. Yes, all they can remember is what happened a mere 3 seconds ago. Ahem, if you have goldfish as pets and thought that you are fondly recognised as the owner who feeds, I break bad news.
To those who cannot - You are not alone. For a start, me too.
To those who preaches and dun practise - Shut that gap on your face.

Marriages
Marriage is defined as a personal union between 2 people. This union may also be called matrimony, while the ceremony that marks its beginning is called a wedding. It is an instituition where interpersonal relationships are sanctioned with governmental and social recognition - thereby, creating a contract between these 2 persons.
People marry for many different reasons but it is sad to say that it is a social stigma that not being in one at or passed the 'marriageable age' is simply not right. The weak ones who are presurrised will get one partner in a hurry - some men got so stressed, they go the easy way out - buy a bride. Who cares about not understanding a single word each spout? Who cares about compatibility? Who cares about love? This is where the dilemma comes in. It was supposed to be love that spawned the decision of the reunion of the 2 beings... isnt it?
As a little child, I got to witness many failed marriages in the family. It had brought on immerse pains to both parties, sometimes sufferings and worse of it all, the bad effects overspilled into their offsprings. It was hard to understand as a child - those shows about weddings - laughters, excitement, and most important of it all - at the end of it all - it SHOULD spell happiness. But why are the marriages I had witnessed spelt misery and tears and heartaches???
Into my teens, I started to fantasize about what fairytales always play out - The Prince and Princess living happily ever after, drowning in their sea of love.
I was eager to find the love of my life, to love him and be loved in return, to have our own children and bring them love and care, to get old together and stroll the busy parks on weekday afternoons.
I was determined to prove that I will not live what I had witnessed. I was constantly pressing myself to believe that there will be happiness for me, there definitely will be.. and a marriage will be an escape route to my eternal happiness..
I got married at a reasonably young age. And I have learnt many lessons. Marriage is more than just a piece of paper that governs your reunion, it is more than just legitimizing sexual relations.
Marriage is a lot more.
It is about learning to live with an individual who was not part of your life before you know him at all. It is a bet - a heavy stake - which is your life - to a person whom you believed will bring you bliss.
Marriage is not about laughters. Those blissful reunions that fairytales carry are amongst the super minority of the countless marriages that happened each day.
I had learnt that beneath each smile lies a hundred cries. Beneath each tender conversation lies a thousand disagreements. It is all about making big efforts in order to give birth to a happy moment.
Sometimes, I do doubt myself and wonder - Is it really worth it?

Boat Asia 2008
'Mr Zaman is inviting us to boating this weekend.'
We reached Sentosa on time and took a few snaps.
Hot Hot day. We met the rest in the boat and checked the boat out. It was neat! Well facilitated with beds, mini stove, dining area and air conditioned interior. The open area has a table with cushioned seats around - good for chilling out.
We spinned off to the exhibit at Keppel Bay and reached in about 10 minutes. Nice. The feel of not only wind, but occasional splatter of seawater on your face.
After we have reached, the boat was parked. (Is it the right word to use? Parked?) Then we were treated to an eye feast of floating playthings, luxury floating playthings...
Small One
Big One
The above is as good as a floating house. It has everything you can imagine doing at the comfort of your own house.. if not more. But again, why do gym and cooking and sleeping in a boat when you can do it back home? Maybe these owners have this cheap thrill that they are doing normal activities on water instead of hard land.. Who knows? The rich are well known for weird fetish.
After burning ourselves out in the sweltering heat, it was a huge relief to see an exhibit indoors. I mentioned Boat Asia.. But there were cars and bikes in there as well as special guests' appearance.
Audi R8
A Small one
A Big One
It is the same bike they are riding on. If you think it is a child's bike, you are wrong. This is a big boy's toy. And Mr Eddy Yeo, the old boy, bought one. This machine feeds on petrol and can go up to 45-60 km/hr. Not bad. The bike has yet to be ready for collection.. but I m doubting that a real grown up can ride on it safely.. Look at Jonathan, before he can start the bike rolling, he would have died of bad cramps. The smile he carried above lasted for a mere second for my snapshot - I bet the poor boy is holding his breath while on it.
The rest of the exhibits were pretty much expected.. accessories for boats, wakeboards and stuff. Nescafe had a counter alongside Mövenpick. Martin was nice enough to treat us to a sluppy scoop of ice-cream.. Yummy! Thanks Martin!
We made our way out and proceeded back to the boat for our journey back to Sentosa.
Evy having lots of fun with the balloon
When we reached Sentosa, most of the people were already exhausted, or rather, I was already exhausted. We took a snap before parting ways.
All thanks to Mr Zaman for making it happened. Thank you!

When you have no leggy models posing with the bikes, the bikes just look kinda boring. To hype up the pictures, you'll try to find your own models. And when you cannot find your own, you and your family became your own models.
Finally, we spotted one model on a scooter, seemingly lonely. Excited at the rare sighting, lucky Ethan was placed neatly on her lap and we took a snap. Her smile looks a little fake ya? Maybe Ethan is too heavy for her slender legs.
I know it looks really different. But I have already tried my very best to mimic the model.
For My Mommieee
I know this is wierd but this is what my mom likes to do.. subtly she is hinting something.
**Phone rings**
Me : Hello
Mom : Hello? Is this the Police Station? Alright.. This is Amy here.. I .. I would like to report loss of my daughter.. seemed like I haven't hear from her for the longest time..
Me : Mommy ahh
Mom : Gal, is that you??? U are still alive??!! I thought I have lost my daughter cause I have not heard from her for sooooo long!! Do u still remember me??
Me : ....
See wad I mean? Trying to knock guilt into me. She succeeded.
Obviously, my mom misses me. However, it is hard to believe based on how she used to nag at me.
These were her complaints before I moved out :
- Main Cause of Noise Pollution
- I'm not your maid!!!
- One of the best facilitated Kennel
The list could go on and on. I believed if my dear mommy have the chance to blog it out, she ll be typing til her 10 fingers transformed to the size of 10 thumbs.
This is when the contradiction comes in : The person who complained the most.. adores me the most.. misses me the most..
This special someone is none other than - My Mommy.
This blog serves as a nice reminder to her that her daughter is still alive.
I love u Momsie.
